I just realized that based on statistic of visitor, page view, comment, question, etc. I still have many visitor. I was thinking before to stop blogging, once I saw this data, I still have a chance, to increase the hits and visitor of this blog and make money with WordPress.

Start From the Beginning

Set meta tags. Meta tags is very important for any SEO blog, article, etc. Meta tags describe what a blog post is about. Rather than having the meta tags posted directly on the website as you might see on Instagram or Twitter, they must be incorporated into the page’s code in <head> section. We have to make sure that all of our article and pages have the unique titles and descriptions. Also, don’t forget to add the Alt-text attribute to all images you upload to your website.

Create user-friendly URLs. Every article we post should have a URL that makes it easier for customers to navigate. It will be very helpful if we use descriptive keywords in our web URL to categorize where our article and pages go on the website. We should make sure to use different URLs for every article, and we should also try using a 301 redirect when our article has an error and send our viewers to the new URL.

Use Google Search Console. We should use this tool to search the articles and sites for any errors. Error could come from duplicated content, meta tags, and missing meta tags, issues with your sitemap, and robot.txt file because these are all errors that hinder user experience. This tools also help to maintain the website visibility for search engines, and provides the information about the keywords which help the searchers to find our web pages.

Try Google Keyword Planner. Google Keyword Planner is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to learn which keywords should be using. Type in your subject and click on the tab that reads “Keyword Ideas.” That will show any keywords that are in-demand. Also, there are plenty of free tools, such as Keyword Everywhere that can help you to choose the right keyword ideas for your online store.

Pick the seed keywords. And now, just pick the keywords that are most relevant to our article or topic because these are the ones you’ll use to create long-tail keywords.

Create Interesting and Useful Content

To attract more people to visit our webpages, we need to create engaging content. Good content will our visitor come back for more, and if you are lucky, they will share your article on social media.

One of the best tools to make engaging content is video content. Most of our visitor will be looking at our blog on their mobile phones, and sometimes they’d rather watch a video than read a long article. Not all visitor like video content but some people do not prefer to swipe up and down continuously. According to platforms like Shopify, including videos on the webpages will likely raise the sales by as much as 85%.

Beyond videos, we should also include guests posts, contact, email address, social media account, etc. These tools will help the visitor to contact us if they need a help.

We should also consider creating long-form articles. According to experts, the text content is usually around 2000 words in length. A study that was conducted in 2017 suggests that the average article length for the top ten results on Google was at least 1000 words and more. A blog is a great idea to help our visitor/customers with useful advice and build a long-read content.
